It all started with a phone call from Los Angeles to Texas, ten family and friends with Fredericksburg roots, and the crazy idea of starting a film festival. From 46 films over two days at the Stagecoach Theater in 2010, we've more than doubled the number of films, and exponentially expanded hosted events and community impact through the Hill Country Film Society.

 

Our team has grown to nearly 20 year-round volunteers, another ten onsite festival staffers, and numerous community volunteers who love independent film and Texas hospitality.
