The Hill Country Film Society encourages discovery through visual storytelling. We create experiences that educate, inspire and engage.
The Hill Country Film Society not only hosts the annual Hill Country Film Festival, but also provides year-round film programming in the Texas Hill Country through the monthly Indie Film Series, Summer Film Camp and Film Affäre, an annual exploration of food and film.
OUR STORY
What made us create a film festival? In a word, passion. The love of everything film. From writing to producing, acting to directing and everything in between. The sacrifice that comes with creating art, often without budgets. Combine that with a lifelong love of Texas and there you have it. The perfect forum for independent film in the heart of the Texas Hill Country.
What began as the Hill Country Film Festival in 2010 quickly evolved into an non-profit organization with a broader vision. Now, in addition to hosting the annual festival, the Hill Country Film Society, a 501(c)(3) organization, provides year-round independent film programming in the Texas Hill Country as well as education in the art of independent film.
