FLOATING HORSES: THE LIFE OF CASEY TIBBS documentary film reveals the rags to riches story of rodeo legend and Western movie star, Casey Tibbs. Casey’s flamboyant lifestyle included plush, purple Cadillacs and flashy cowboy attire. Akin to riding a wild bronc in competition, Casey’s unpredictable life had its grand victories and cheerless crashes. Get ready to “Let’er Buck!”
HCFF Notes: Featured interviewee/rodeo historian Gail Woerner, founder of Tres Rios Silver founder Vicki Christensen and The Mystic Cowboys musician Dan Johnson will be in attendance for a Q&A following the screening.

The youthful folly of wanting to grow up too fast. A girl and her little sister collect accoutrements from the once Wild West. The short/narrative music video is set to a reorganization of composer Antonín Dvořák’s popular 12th String Quartet. The piece, written on a visit to the United States in 1893, incorporates impressions of the country’s melting-pot folk music and its various ethnic influences. The film blends Cowboy Pop culture and Southwestern American Indian motifs and design.
